Despicable Me fans across the world are no doubt dribbling at the prospect of Minions, an upcoming feature-length film that will see Gru's adorable yellow henchmen set out on an adventure of their very own.

But, with the première still a few months away, how much do we actually know about the year's most hotly-anticipated family flick? Let's find out...

When's the release date? The film comes out on July 10 in the USA, although we lucky Brits get it a little bit earlier; June 26 is the film's UK release date.

What's the story? Minions is a prequel to the Despicable Me films. It will show us the history of the minions, giving us a glimpse of what happened to them before they joined Gru's cause. If you've seen the trailer, you already know some details; the minions have been around since prehistoric times, and the sole purpose of their existence is to serve the world's most despicable supervillains.

After disastrous stints with Genghis Khan, Napoleon, and other historical baddies, they find themselves without a master, and so three brave minions - Kevin, Stuart and Bob - set out to find somebody new to serve.

Who's in it? Well, the minions themselves will all be voiced by Pierre Coffin, who is also the film's co-director. There are big stars elsewhere, though; Sandra Bullock will play Scarlet Overkill, the villainess whom the minions end up trying to woo, while Scarlet's husband Herb will be voiced by Jon Hamm (a.k.a. Don Draper from Mad Men). Michael Keaton, Alison Janney, and Steve Coogan will also star in as-yet-unconfirmed roles.

Will any other established Despicable Me characters make a surprise cameo? Not that we're aware of. There's been no suggestion that Steve Carrell (Gru) will be involved in this movie; nor is there any sign of Russell Brand (Dr Nefario) Miranda Cosgrove (Margo), Dana Gaier (Edith), or Elsie Kate Fisher (Agnes) on the cast list as it stands.

Will there be another proper Despicable Me film? Indeed there will - Despicable Me 3 is tentatively slated for release in 2017, so Gru and his girls will be back in a couple of years.

Can I have my own minion? Yes you can! Our Talking RC Minions are huggable, snuggable, and every bit as adorable as their on-screen counterparts. Get yours here.
The second trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron was released today, and while we were already pretty excited for the sequel to end all sequels, this second glimpse of what's to come has pushed us back to fever pitch. The movie will be released here in the UK on Friday the 24th of April; here are some of the things that have us most excited for that very special day...

1. Scarlet Witch
She's one of the two new heroes joining the team this time around (the other is Quicksilver, who will be portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson), and the new trailer finds her strutting towards the camera while nonchalantly fireballing Iron Man into a nearby wall.

2. Robots! Everywhere!
Ultron was already shaping up to be a pretty kickass villain (we love how deadpan he sounds when he speaks), but the new trailer suggests that our intrepid heroes may have more than one Ultron to deal with. At one point, you can see a whole swarm of them, crawling over rocks and up the face of some poor soul's house. Heaven help us all.

3. Hulk <3 Black Widow?
There's a rather touching moment in amongst the chaos of that new trailer, and it involves Black Widow and Bruce Banner's big green alter-ego. The Hulk looks a lot less angry than usual as he holds hands with BW and looks utterly, utterly doomed. What does this mean? Can we expect to see a Hulk/Widow ship in Age of Ultron?

4. Hulk vs. Iron Man
On the other end of the 'heroes interacting with each other' spectrum, we have that rather promising fight between Hulk and Tony Stark in a bigger-than-usual Iron Man suit. Why are they having an awesome, big-budget fight? Aren't they supposed to be on the same team?

5. ???
We've no idea what's happening here (who is this shadowy figure, and why are they getting naked?), but golly are we EXCITED to find out.

Who'd have thought that a <2 minute long trailer could have so many highlights, eh? There are exactly 100 days until Age of Ultron is released - while you wait, why not check out our awesome collection of Marvel merchandise?
Christmas is a time for giving, for loving, and for being with your nearest and dearest. Oh, and for watching movies, obviously - let's face it, there ain't much else to do on the 25th!

Here then, are a few suggestions. If you're looking for a festive flick to enjoy with your family this holiday season, we'd strongly recommend any of the following - grab your Christmas Snug Rug, fire up the Popcorn Maker, and let's take a tour of the best Christmas movies EVER!

Santa Blanket - Christmas Snug Rug
Or pour yourself a glass of wine. Whatever.

Oh, and since it's not a Christmas film unless you're sobbing uncontrollably, we'll be highlighting a Tearjerker Moment from each of our 5 picks. Keep some tissues nearby, m'kay?

Be warned: spoilers may lie ahead.

1. The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)
The definitive movie version of Charles Dickens's enduring festive fable. We're pretty sure that Mr Dickens was picturing Bob Cratchit as a fuzzy green frog from the moment he picked up his quill.

Tearjerker Moment: Somewhere in the middle of the film, Belle (Scrooge's former girlfriend) sings a very sad song called 'When Love is Gone' before cutting off their engagement. This sequence is part of the 'Ghost of Christmas Past' flashback, and at the end of the song, the camera pans back to Old!Scrooge, mouthing the words along with his old flame and looking positively distraught.

2. Frozen (2013)
The newest film on our list needs no introduction: you've seen the movie, heard the songs, and if you've a young daughter, run yourself ragged looking for Elsa and Anna dolls. Still, Christmas gives us a good excuse to watch it again, right?

Tearjerker Moment: Hey, welcome to another jolly adventure from Walt Disney Studios! Here's Princess Elsa, here's Princess Anna, and here are their parents dying tragically at sea!

You know, for kids!

3. Die Hard (1988)
Held by many to be The Greatest Christmas Movie of All Time, Die Hard's against-the-odds action may seem like an odd choice for your post-turkey lull, but if the sight of Hans Gruber executing Joseph Takagi doesn't fill you with festive cheer then frankly we suspect you're dead inside.

Tearjerker Moment: "He had a ray gun, looked real enough...they can teach you everything about bein' a cop except how to live with a mistake."

Arthur Christmas (2011)
James McAvoy and Bill Nighy set out to deliver a present to the child that Hugh Laurie and Jim Broadbent forgot about. Oh, and all of those people we just named are Santa, kind of. Why are you still reading this? Go and watch it!

Tearjerker Moment: Ambitious, tech-savvy Hugh Laurie finally realises that his little brother, James McAvoy, would make a better Santa than him. "I'll be the candle, eh?"

5. It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
Nothing says 'festive classic' like watching a man get driven to the brink of suicide. Thrill as George Bailey gives up on his dreams to remain in the dead-end hole that is Bedford Falls! Delight as his wedding day is ruined by a bank run that threatens to make him and his new bride completely destitute! Feel the spirit of the season rush through your veins as George, now a fugitive from the law, comes to the tragic realisation that he's "worth more dead than alive"!

Tearjerker Moment: Of course, George Bailey's suicide attempt is ultimately thwarted, and he returns home to face the music. If you weren't already bawling into your mince pies by this point, the big ending - where the whole town shows up and donates enough money to save George and his business - will surely break what's left of your resolve. Sniff.

Keeping up with the latest movie news can be difficult, and that's certainly true in the case of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This superhero blockbuster was first announced at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con; since then, new details are being revealed almost every day, and it's hard for those of us with a life outside of DC Comics to keep up.

Fortunately, though, the Gadget Inspector team have done a bit of research (y'know, on Wikipedia) and compiled the following list. Here is everything we know about Batman v Superman to date - scroll to the bottom for a smashing superhero deal!

Actors: Quite a large chunk of the cast has already been revealed. Henry Cavill will be playing Superman, just as he did in Man of Steel. As you've probably heard - this was quite a controversial casting decision - Ben Affleck will be playing Batman. Other confirmed cast members include Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White).

Release Date: The film is currently slated for release on Friday, March 25, 2016, although that's a) subject to change, and b) only in the USA. Us chumps in the UK will have to wait until Tuesday, April 29, 2016.

Plot: Okay, this is where details start to get a little bit sketchy. Obviously, Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne will face off - Batman v Superman would be a pretty disappointing movie if it didn't even deliver on the promise of its title.

Having said that, the presence of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor suggests that this won't simply be a hero vs. hero film. Perhaps Lex is somehow responsible for turning these two crimefighters against each other? Or, since Wonder Woman is also set to appear, perhaps she is somehow at the centre of everything?

Of course, it's worth pointing out that Jeremy Irons has never played a non-villainous character before, and so there's a pretty strong chance that Alfred the Butler will turn out to be the big bad of the piece. Now that's a film we'd go and see.

Will it be as good as Marvel's shared universe stuff? Perhaps. If anybody at Warner is reading this, please get on the phone to Zack Snyder ASAP and tell him to consider our 'Alfred is the bad guy' plot. That would definitely give this flick the edge over The Avengers.

Now then, we promised you a smashing superhero deal, and here it is:

If you're a fan of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, you'll already know how important it is to stay classy. Christmas, with all the chocolate and gravy and booze, is a pretty dangerous time for a person's dignity - it's that one time of the year when classiness is really at premium.

With this in mind, here are five top tips for keeping your Christmas classy on a level that Ron Burgundy himself would be proud of. Scroll to the bottom for an awesome Anchorman-themed offer!

  • Suit up! Whether you're young or old, male or female, a fitted suit always looks good, and Christmastime is no exception. Still, it is a special time of year, so why not go for a nice festive design like this one?
OppoSuits: Xmas Tree Suit

  • Give more than you expect to receive. The classiest way to do Christmas? Stop thinking about your own loot and really go big on everybody else's gifts. Remember: it's a time for giving, not receiving!

  • Don't act like you're not impressed. Similarly, when you're opening your own presents, let the people around you know that their gifts are appreciated. Make them feel good about their efforts (even if the gift itself is kind of naff - remember, it's the thought that counts!)
  • Go easy on the booze. We all like a nice scotchy scotch scotch - particularly during the holiday season - but it's important to know your limit. Once you've got achieved that warm Yuletide glow, you might want to think about reining it in; after all, it'd be a shame to throw up the best meal of the year. Speaking of which...

  • Eat the whole wheel of cheese. The rule of moderation doesn't apply to Christmas dinner as it does to Christmas drinks. Somebody put a whole lot of work into that roast dinner, so be sure to show your appreciation by eating until you look like a blueberry.
Now, we like to practice the generosity that we preach, and we did promise you guys an Anchorman-themed offer back up at the beginning of this blog, so here:
