As beautiful as our website is, sometimes the only way to really show off our favourite gadgets is to open the box and mess around with them. Today, we've been messing around with the Click Stick - it's a photo-taking device (compatible with iPhones and Android devices) that's specifically designed to take the best selfies ever!

Want to learn more? Read on, cowboy...

Here's our selfie stick, fresh out of its box. Notice the handy wrist strap, which is a very important feature if you're the kind of person who's constantly dropping things.

Click Stick cradle

This is where you put your phone when you want to take a selfie. The cradle is spring-loaded, which means that you don't have to fiddle around with screws or anything like that to get a secure grip on your smartphone. Once the phone is in the cradle, all you have to do is plug that cable into your headphone port.

Extended selfie stick

As you can see, this telescopic selfie stick has some serious extension! In the photo on the left, the Click Stick is fully retracted (about 20cm long). In the image on the right, we've extended it to its full length - roughly one metre! This means that you really can fit everybody in the photo; it's perfect for weddings, parties, and any other big 'group photo' occasion.

Click stick button

The best thing about the Click Stick is its simplicity. You don't have to download any apps or change any settings - you literally just plug it in and start snapping away! Once the cable is connected to your headphone socket, you simply press the button on the handle to take a photo. No, we're not sure how it works either, but it's very cool!

Gadget Inspector selfie

Here's the selfie that we took with the Click Stick (don't Andrew and Jon look amazed?!) We've just tweeted this picture using the hashtag #clickstick, and we encourage you to do the same once you've got a Click Stick of your own!

If you watch Dragon's Den, you may already know about Victor's Drinks - the people behind these brew-your-own kits convinced Duncan Bannatyne to invest £40,000 in their business, and the rest, as they say, is history.

We recently added an assortment of Victor's products to the Gadget Inspector website, and since it's important to know what you're selling, we decided to give one of the kits a try. Here's how we got on...

Victor's Drinks - Brew Your Own Cider

As you can see, we went for the 'Mixed Berry' version of Victor's Brew Your Own Cider kit. Note that we also sell a Brew Your Own Ale version!

Pouring the cider

Making the cider is easy - you just empty the sachet of powder into the box, add some water, and leave it to brew for 10 day (if you're planning to serve your home-brewed cider at a party, be sure to think ahead!) Once that time has elapsed, turn on the spigot and pour yourself a delicious home-made beverage!

Victor's Drinks mixed berries cider

How delicious does that look? And, yes, we can confirm that it tasted fantastic as well!

    Assorted drinking products

Man, Tuesdays are the worst, right? At least you can spend Monday talking about what you did over the weekend - Tuesday is just a no man's land, lightyears from the warm embrace of Friday.

But we at Gadget Inspector want to change your attitude towards The Lamest Day of the Week. It's time to stop seeing Tuesday as a thankless slog when it's really the PERFECT TIME TO START PREPARING FOR THE WEEKEND. Think about it - The Perfect Weekend doesn't just happen without a bit of forward planning. As Confucius once said:

"He who waits 'til Friday lunchtime to make plans for Friday night will end up spending Friday in his jammies, watching old Simpsons episodes on his own."

    - Confucius, probably

However, the man who starts planning his weekend on Tuesday is pretty much guaranteed to have the time of his life. Conveniently enough, we've just added a bunch of new drinking accessories to the Gadget Inspector catalogue - why not start with these, and take it from there?

    Yard of Ale Glass

Drink a whole yard of ale and find out whether you're a 'Wimp' or a 'Solid Legend'. What better way to kick off your weekend?

    Chemistry Shot Glasses

If you're gonna do shots, you might as well do 'em from miniature lab beakers. Oh, and if you want the full set of scientific drinking paraphernalia, check this out...

    Erlenmeyer Flask Decanter

It's the perfect way for science boffins to store their wines and spirits!

    Manly Bar Tools

If the party is happening at your house this Friday, somebody's bound to ask you for a bottle opener at some point. How cool will you feel when you hand them a bottle opener that's shaped like a HAMMER?

    LED Bar Caddy

We've saved the best 'til last - this revolving drinks caddy has room for 4 different bottles, and it lights up when you pour, AND it's spring-loaded to give a perfect 1.5oz shot without any effort on your part! How awesome is that?

We hope that's given you a few good ideas for the coming weekend. And next time you come down with a case of The Tuesday Blues, remember: you're never more than 120 hours from the next weekend!

Jenga, camera tin, and golf game

We know, we know. We only just showed you a bunch of cool new stuff - surely we can't deliver the goods again so quickly?

O ye of little faith. We're always adding awesome new products to the Gadget Inspector catalogue, and we wouldn't want to leave you in the dark, so here are some more of our latest additions...

    Drinking Jenga

Everybody loves Jenga, and everybody loves drinking, so this game is a match made in heaven. Each brick has an instruction (usually drink-related) for the player to follow, and obviously, the person who knocks the tower down earns himself a nice big forfeit.

    Photobox: Retro Camera Tin

The Photobox would make a great gift for any photography nut. It's a handy storage tin that can be used for just about anything, although its most obvious function is as a place to put your favourite photos.

    Drinking Golf

We'll end on another drinking game, because it's Wednesday morning and we're looking forward to the weekend. This miniature putting green comes with six shot glasses - score a hole in one and make your opponent drink!

Spin pong, BBQ branding iron and butterfly bottle opener

We're always adding new products here at Gadget Inspector, and so we thought it was high time for a quick round-up. Here are three of the newest and awesome-est additions to the Gadget Inspector catalogue:

Spin Pong: Spinning Beer Pong Rack

    Spin Pong

If you're a seasoned beer pong player and the sport has sort of lost its challenge, why not up the ante a little bit? This spinning beer pong rack will make it even more difficult to get your ball where it needs to be!

    Branded BBQ burger

    BBQ Branding Iron

Brand your burgers and label your lamb chops with this customisable branding iron! It comes with 52 letter tiles, so you can spell out anything you fancy and singe it onto your steaks.

    Butterfly bottle opener

    Butterfly Bottle Opener

Ever used a butterfly knife, where the blade is concealed within the handles? Well this is a butterfly bottle opener - same principle, but it opens bottles. Great for doing tricks while you tend the bar!
